Walton's Engine

The Walton's Engine (aka Gut Twister) is a 3 hook furling machine that was described in Izaak Walton's The Compete Angler in 1653. It can be used to make leaders, horse hair lines and snells, gut snells, and tenkara lines. It can be hand-held or clamped to a furling board and is hand-cranked.
