Space is limited to 25 attendees. The Workshop filled quickly the last two years so if you missed out, now is your chance to get in on the fun! 

Lastly, this year's Workshop participants will help build an extra reel that we will donate to the Center to compliment the bamboo rod that is donated each year. We can work on this during class and over the weekend if necessary.

Here are a few photos of the "raw" reel - meaning, the kit was simply put together with no sanding or finishing. Imagine what it will look like finsihed and polished! This is an all new design for us and wil be offered as a kit later this year. The reel is about 2 3/4" diameter to the outer pillar ears, has a smooth cork friction check, and is very light. The backplate is machined from a single piece of alloy aluminum unlike our current kits which are assembled from several parts.
