The Nissitissit is hand-made, one at a time by reelsmith Michael Hackney. It is named for one of Michael's home rivers, the Nissitissit in Northeast Massachusetts. This river has a lively stretch of Catch & Release water with sections of freestone fiffles and several deep pools. The Nissitissit has a light and open New England feeling - much like this reel. Hence, The Nissitissit seemed the appropriate name.

The Nissitissit is 3" across the frame and can hold a 3 to 5 weight line with backing. It comes configured with a click check and components to convert to a silent check (let us know if you would like the silent check pre-configured). Each reel is individually numbered, stamped with Michael's maker's mark, and comes with an owner's certificate. A Suede Reel Case is included.
