This is our original Otter Butter line dressing in a small package designed to carry in your pocket. Perfect for streamside dressing of furled leaders and tenkara lines! Container has a convenient attached snap lid and the chamois applicator fits right inside.
1.5" diameter x .58" thick
Otter Butter is a hand-crafted fly line and leader dressing made by us right here in Groton, MA. Otter Butter applies easily with the included chamois applicator and an application should last through a long day on the water. Originally developed for oiled silk fly lines, Otter Butter can be used on pure silk and synthetic furled leaders and tenkara lines and even modern synthetic fly lines (it does not contain any harmful solvents or ingredients) and does not contain silicones. Otter Butter has a mild and pleasant beeswax fragrance.
Try Otter Butter, we think you'll agree, "It floats better!"
Never apply Otter Butter to a damp or wet silk line, trapped moisture invites mold. Apply to clean fly line or leader with chamois pad at least 30 minutes in advance of fishing - this gives the butter time to set up properly. Make sure the butter gets down into the weave and remove excess. An application should last the entire day.

I've been using otter butter on my silk line and furled leaders for the past year. It works like magic and it doesn't melt in the can. Wonderful stuff - MUCH better than Mucelin.

I've been using this on my furled leaders now for over a year and it is hands down the best on the market. It lasts so much longer I spend more time fishing Ratner than retreating the leader.
